TracheoStoma Whistle™

Whistle while you work! Since laryngectomees breathe through a tracheostoma, they typically can’t whistle for pets, attention, or help. This little instrument does just that. Simply hold the whistle flange to the tracheostoma and expel air from the lungs. The result is a piercing shrill that is loud and sure. The TracheoStoma Whistle™ can also be used in speech therapy to control stoma noise during esophageal speech and artificial larynx training. Stoma noise masks the speech signal and this tool announces its presence. You don’t want to inadvertently blow the whistle on yourself! (Pun intended). Well-made and comes with a lanyard.
